Maine Lobster Festival Invites Public to Annual Coronation Banquet
This year, the Coronation Banquet will be Friday, July 27 at 6 p.m. at the Samoset on the Ocean in Rockport, Maine.
The Coronation Judges banquet is where the Sea Princesses are questioned by the judges about their knowledge of the Maine Lobster Festival, the region’s fishing industry, and the surrounding communities. The Sea Princesses will also be questioned about their recent tours of Atwood Lobster, Bean Lobster, Bixby & Co., the U.S. Coast Guard Base, Maine Lighthouse Museum, and Knox Center for Long Term Care. The purpose of the questions is to prepare the ladies for the many events the selected Sea Goddess will attend so they can speak to the public about Maine and Lobstering.
The Maine Lobster Festival invites everyone who is interested in attending this informative and entertaining event to call Sharon Lombardo (207-594-4559) to make their reservations. The cost is $33 per person. Each ticket includes a buffet-style meal with dessert. Cash bar also available.
Interested parties may pay at the door, but please call Sharon to make your reservation.
