Where is Rockland, Maine?

Rockland, Maine is nestled between the rocky coastlines of Midcoast Maine and the islands of Penobscot Bay, about 78 miles north of Portland and about 65 miles south of Bangor.

Where Can I Stay?

There are many different types of lodging options in and around Rockland, Maine. Whether you’re looking for a nice inn within walking distance of the festival grounds or a campground where you can pitch a tent or park your RV, Midcoast Maine has plenty of options to suit all of our visitors.

Do I need at car?

Yes, we recommend that you rent a car if you fly to Maine. Public transportation in and around Rockland is limited.

How many people come to the Maine Lobster Festival each year?

Around 30,000 people attend the festival each year.

Is there security on the grounds when the festival is not open?

Yes, there are security guards that walk the grounds during all hours that the festival is not open.

Where Do I Purchase Tickets?

You can purchase admission tickets at any gate to the Maine Lobster Festival.

Tickets for Main Stage events may be purchased online for the Friday or Saturday performances.  During festival hours, they may also be purchased at the Main Gate to the Festival grounds. 

Purchase tickets for the Smokey’s Greater Shows Carnival rides at designated stations throughout the Festival grounds.

When Are Bracelet Days?

Bracelet Days for the carnival rides will be on the following days:

• Thursday, July 30 from 12 - 6 p.m.

• Friday, July 31 from 12 - 6 p.m.

• Sunday, August 2 from 12 - 5 p.m.

The cost is $15 per bracelet, which allows bracelet wearers to ride as many rides as they like during the times specified above.

When Can I Tour Rockland's Coast Guard Station?

Tours of Rockland, Maine's Coast Guard station will take place on the following days:

Thursday July 30 -  10:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm

Friday July 31 -  10:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm

Sunday Aug 2 -  10:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm
