Maine Lobster Festival Donates $500 to Teen and Young Parents Program
Eleven months of planning, twelve months of community contribution, substantial boost to the local economy, two weeks of intense preparation, and five days celebrating the hard work of lobstering families.
As a 100% volunteer-run organization, no one gets paid for their efforts. The rewards are the satisfaction of mutual involvement and the pleasure of knowing the proceeds support our community in many ways.
On September 30th, the Maine Lobster Festival contributed $500 to the Teen and Young Parents Program. Teen and Young Parent Program was awarded a grant from the Maine Lobster Festival Association. This money will support Books for Home Visits, a project that promotes literacy by providing all enrolled children with a new book at their monthly home visit.
